Wailing Banshee Corporate Video and Film Production News

Wailing Banshee has been updating and filming new material to be incorporated into the latest St John Ambulance training videos.  St John’s corporate image has undergone a recent revamp and the new brand design has been translated into moving image by our graphics department.  Parts of the old footage were re-filmed at our studio in Hampshire, UK with post-production also undertaken in-house by our new animation team ‘Banshee GFX’.  The films are due for release in January 2008.

Wailing Banshee have created a new animation demo produced from their Casino Royale stunt shots. Wailing Banshee filmed the James Bond stunt double for Sony Entertainment to promote the new Bond epic in May 2007. Stunts included aerial acrobatics and free running, controlled falls and 6 foot leaps between rig platforms. This new animation demonstrates how Wailing Banshee are able to composite multiple elements to produce creative scenes. Using keying techniques within 3D space we can produce some very interesting stylized looks.  The new demonstration can be viewed here:  Bond Stunt Composites

It’s fun being a 3D animator especially when you’re asked to create gadgets of the future for a major processor manufacturer. ARM technology required 5 films for upcoming events to showcase their future processor capabilities.

The campaign ideas came from those who work within ARM and it was our task to bring those ideas to life. The films include a blue tooth watch that synchronizes with household appliances and your electric car recharger… oh and it tells the time too! The other films, produced using 3D software and our render farm based just outside London, include a make-up case that suggests styles, a translation camera phone for all languages, a video playing jacket and a night vision bike helmet. Banshee has been shooting at Teddington studios for the new James Bond - Casino Royale film launch. The footage is to be used for Sony Entertainments online material and incorporated within a new Casino Royale game on the Sony site. Spex agency approached Wailing Banshee for the project and of course we just had to say yes. The stunts were directed by our in-house special FX director, David Baumber and shot on HD. The blue screen and rigs were later removed and replaced by 3D backdrops and buildings.
